It’s getting to the end of the year when drama lovers decide what their favorites are! Instead of doing a favorite drama poll, I wanted to focus on my favorite music covers for 2010. I listened to a lot of music this year, but I’ve never liked this many song covers from YouTube before. I guess more talented people are coming out of their shells!
I present to you my favorite covers for 2010, in no particular order whatsoever.
“Wedding Dress” by Taeyang– Kevin Lien. I pretty much stopped listening to Taeyang’s English version after hearing this one.
“Just a Dream” by Nelly — Sam Tsui and Christina Grimmie. I’M STILL HUNGOVER THIS SONG A MONTH LATER! Possibly my favorite song cover ever. And I’m totally serious!
“Dynamite” by Taio Cruz — Alex Goot
“DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” by Usher — Christina Grimmie and Alex Goot
“Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga — Greyson Chance. This kid is already going somewhere, especially since Ellen DeGeneres signed him onto her record label. If you haven’t seen this yet, don’t the beginning piano intro fool ya, ’cause his voice is crazy good. Can’t believe he was a sixth grader when he sang this earlier in the year.
“Love Ya” by SS501 — JD Relic. He makes fantastic English covers for Kpop songs. My favorite is actually his cover for Heartbreaker by Big Bang’s G-Dragon of last year.
“Like a G6” by FarEastMovement — Tyler Ward and Crew
Did I miss any song covers from YouTube that you liked? If so, please share! I always love to hear more.
