For all of you who frequent YouTube, you must have heard of Greyson Chance, the little boy who shot to YouTube and worldwide fame after uploading his cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” at Edmond’s sixth grade festival in Oklahoma. No, you’ve ever heard of him? Watch the video below and be prepared to have your mind blown by the then-sixth grader. It’s a really good raw performance, though not perfect (what does “perfect” mean, anyway?). Yet this little teenager has a talent, and a genuine love of singing. It’s his talent that made me a little Greyson Chance fan. Did I mention that he’s adorable?
In May 2010, American talk show host and actress Ellen DeGeneres created a new record label, eleveneleven, and Greyson was the first to be signed. Since then, Greyson has been touring around the world. He released his debut single, “Waiting Outside The Lines,” on October of last year. Today, Ellen tweeted that iTunes is offering the download for the music video for free. It’s a really beautiful song, and the music isn’t bad either.
