Someone loves me up there. Kim Jae Wook (Marry Me, Mary, Bad Guy) recently took the time to sit down to talk with 10Asia and shoot some photos. Kim is currently busy acting in Korea’s musical adaptation of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” which was also a musical on Broadway back in 1999, and a movie back in 2001. His current role is that of Hedwig, a transgender rock singer who falls in love with another rocker named Tommy. Interestingly enough, he also plays Tommy in this drama, so those who go to see the play are basically getting a two-for-one-kind of deal. And wow, Kim Jae Wook plays a woman AND a man? Puuuurrrfect!
I really enjoyed the interview, because it shed a lot of light on who Kim Jae Wook is as an individual. More than anything, he’s passionate about what he does. He’s one of those actors that continues to grow with each acting project, putting all his energy into his characters. How can I not respect that? To read the full interview, go here and here.
The photos are posted below, in which Kim looks very badass and cool. Check ’em out!
