Day 28: A Kdrama not loved by many but you seem to like

A recent one? President. If there’s one drama I’d like to recommend to everyone from the 2011 offerings, it’s this one. President’s not your typical drama, although it does fall into some stereotypical plot lines in the beginning. It’s intense, realistic, and fun, creating a perfect concoction for a good drama. While I wouldn’t say that it’s the best drama ever, or is it a drama without flaws, it’s certainly one of my personal favorites.

I know I’ll be rewatching it sometime again this year because it stars Choi Soo Jong, my I Lub You. How I miss you so! (Still haven’t watched Comrades for fear of crying my eyes out.) It was because of this drama that he became my I Lub You, where I wasn’t so much captivated by his amazing acting, but rather his deadly, yet all-too-sexy smile. Oh my honey, you’re so fine, thank the gods that you’re all mine! And yeah, I know that rhymes. Hee.

There’s not much else I can say that I haven’t said already. President = an awesome drama. Whether you’re into dramas that are entertaining and mindblowing, have a lot of heart and great acting, or all of the above and more. I mean, the featured photo for this post should already pique your interest, no? I seriously love Choi Soo Jong. HE’S MY AHJUSSHI. MINE. ALL MIIIIIIINNNNNEEE!

  1. Isn’t this the lead in The Emperor of The Sea? I really liked him there.
This drama sounds really nice and I want to watch it but I can find the legit dvd with subtitles anywhere.

    • Yes, it is! I have yet to watch EOTS, but I heard that’s a good drama as well! Hmm…I just downloaded the torrents/episodes somewhere and used WITHS2’s subtitles. I’m not sure if there are other sites that are streaming it (legally) right now.

  2. Aiiieee, I want to watch this so bad but there’s a whole new crop of dramas out plus school. It’s already on my ‘To Watch’ list.

Hmmm, one drama that I love that people don’t talk about much is Taereung National Village. It’s an 8 episode drama special about sports at the Olympic training facility; but it goes beyond sports to tackle real characters and how they grow up in a high-pressure environment where everyone has to be the top of their game. It’s sweet and low-key and absolutely lovely. Thundie has a great description of it on her blog. 🙂

    • That’s okay if you can’t watch it, because perhaps there will be upcoming dramas this year that’ll surpass President. Who knows what this year may hold?

Yes, Taereung National Village has been on my to-watch list for the longest time! I need to watch it someday. I will watch it someday!

  3. If you’re talking about underrated dramas not seen, hence not loved by many (cos they haven’t seen it):

    President (agree with you)
    White Tower
    Friend, Our Legend

Drama seen by all, not loved but I liked:

    My Love Patji
