Earlier I announced on this blog that YouTube stars Wong Fu Productions were invited to film Wang Leehom‘s music video in Taiwan. Well, the MV was officially released today and many fans of both Wong Fu and Leehom have already started commenting on YouTube about how much they love it.
And I have to say that I absolutely agree with them. There’s something so simple, albeit beautiful about this music video that truly touches upon the main message of the song — continuing to love someone even though the relationship is already over. Continue reading
If you’ve been following Taiwanese dramas this past year, then you’ve probably heard about The Fierce Wife and its popularity. It shouldn’t be surprising, then, to hear that this 23-episode drama has swept the nominations for this year’s Golden Bell Nominations, scheduled for October 21st of this year. Each year’s Golden Bell Awards celebrate the television industry in Taiwan, and it’s similar to the Emmy’s in the United States. This year will be the Golden Bell’s 46th annual awards and it will be held at the Sun Yet San Memorial Hall. Continue reading
Omgomgomgomgomgomgomg! This is a freaking AMAZING music video. I half-wished that American singer-songwriter Ryan Tedder would also be featured in it since he collaborated with Vanness on this song, but alas, we don’t see his face; we only hear his wonderful voice.
Having seen this, I am probably ten times more excited for Material Queen now — no, I’m so excited to the point that I’m counting down the hours until its premiere on Friday, June 17th, at 10:00 PM. This song is not only the theme song for the drama, but is actually one of the songs forVanness’s upcoming album titled C’est La V, which will be released on July 8th. And I love it so much!
Material Queen is set to premiere on June 17, and singer-turned-actor Vanness Wu, who is also the male lead for the drama, has collaborated with Ryan Tedder from One Republic for the OST. In addition to this song being officially a part of Material Queen’s OST, it will also be one of the numbers in his upcoming Mandarin album, which is tentatively scheduled to be released over the summer, sometime in July. The song actually premiered on Taiwan’s Hit FM radio just a few hours ago for the first time.
