Huh. Looks like City Hunter is turning out to be a melodrama filled with action-packed scenes instead of a comedy romance drama sprinkled with a few action scenes, which is what I originally thought it would be. The drama has released its first OST single a few days ago, sung by legendary rock singer Yim Jae Beom. It’s a pretty track titled “Love” and a music video of the song with action scenes from the drama were released as well. Pretty, isn’t it?
Kpop girl group SNSD’s Jessica recently took part in the Romance Town OST, and sang a song for the drama titled “Overflowing With Tears”, which was released last week. A music video with clips from the drama was also released, along with the song. “Overflowing With Tears” was included in episode 3 of Romance Town. It’s a song that will be played during the blossoming romance between Jung Kyeo Woon and Sung Yuri’s characters.
I know what you’re thinking — I haven’t even watched the finale of Fierce Wife but I took up a new Taiwanese drama? As the saying goes, “good things come to those who wait.” So have no fear because I will have those recaps out as soon as I can! In the meantime, I started watching SETTV’s Drunken To Love You last week because my friends ockoala and ripgal were raving about it on their own respective blogs. Instead of resisting the temptation to watch DTLY, I immediately gave in, knowing that it’s better to follow the wise examples of my sunbaes early on than to regret it later. The last time I chose to ignore their recommendations resulted in several overnighters and excessive fangirling to the point of craziness.
For all of you who frequent YouTube, you must have heard of Greyson Chance, the little boy who shot to YouTube and worldwide fame after uploading his cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” at Edmond’s sixth grade festival in Oklahoma. No, you’ve ever heard of him? Watch the video below and be prepared to have your mind blown by the then-sixth grader. It’s a really good raw performance, though not perfect (what does “perfect” mean, anyway?). Yet this little teenager has a talent, and a genuine love of singing. It’s his talent that made me a little Greyson Chance fan. Did I mention that he’s adorable? Continue reading
[Edit: I replaced the Mnet Countdown performance on the 14th with a performance on April 28th, 2011, because the video was no longer working. This one is a much better live performance, so disregard the comments about the singing below.]
Sigh. You should’ve known that this was coming after I posted about the release of their special edition CD last week. The live performance that I posted above wasn’t their best, and it was obvious to everyone that Big Bang went off-tune several times throughout the performance. But I liked it. I dunno, I’m obsessed with this music video and this song to the point that I don’t even care about the technical stuff. In fact, I liked this music video so much I took the time to download it so I could share it with the rest of you.
